Make it… geronimo!

Bleeding Cool has squirrelled out news of an upcoming crossover that might send certain minds reeling. That in May, IDW are to publish a Doctor Who/Star Trek: The Next Generation crossover series. Featuring The Doctor, Rory, Amy, Captain Picard, Worf, Data, Geordie LaForge, Deanna Troy, Will Riker and the rest. And that this art, featuring the Doctor, Rory and Amy on the bridge of the Enterprise is a cover that will be used in the series.

Doctor Who has never engaged in any such officially sanctioned crossover outside of the Doctor Who universe before. The closest was Dimensions In Time, a much derided charity telethon show which featured characters from the BBC soap opera Eastenders. Then there was Death’s Head who kinda popped in and out. Star Trek has also seen comic book crossovers with X-Men and the Legion Of Superheroes. But this is the first time that two such major competing TV sci-fi franchises have been allowed to merge in any way before.

Of course this kind of meeting has been the subject of fan fiction thousands of times. But there’s a very special something when it becomes official.

IDW is attending the Gallifrey One convention in a week’s time. I’d expect this to be announced there.

As to the details… CyBorgmen? The Klingoon? The Time Lord Continuum? Dorian of the Ferenghi?

Just a MONTH after my computer was "fixed", it fried again. It's toast and it won't get past that black screen of the boot process. Really, is that bad luck or what? Since it came back with a supposedly new HD (I'm now having doubts if they really replaced it), it would freeze randomly with no apparent program as a source and force me to restart. Yesterday, it gave me a real hard time and then poof. Nothing.

I got really close to throwing that think out of the window. It's still new, how can it be giving so much trouble. Also, it came back with a different version of Windows 7 than I had previously. Since it was a better one, or at least I thought so, (W7 Ultimate) I didn't complain because I had the laptop sent straight back to the manufacturer for being almost brand new and I thought they had upgraded.

So I decided to google Windows 7 64bits and it seems it is a very common problem with this version, specially unofficial pirated versions and I started wondering if they had put an unlicenced product in my computer. I returned to the place where I had it fixed (or NOT) and they said they would test it and call back when they know what's wrong.

And I still haven't watched the lastest ep of H50 and now I don't know when I will be able to. =(

Wow, I just had a huge bolt of inspiration and made a ton of H50 graphics. They will all be posted gradually over the week on my Tumblr account.

It's official. After watching more than half of H50 season 1, I officially consider this show to be awesome and totally addictive. And I can't get that theme tune off my head. Someone help!

It's been over two weeks and I still don't have my laptop. Stupid holidays. Sorry for falling behind on my f-list.

I spend my days trying not to be bored to death. I get back to work tomorrow and I hope to have my computer back since most classes will only return next month. Can you imagine a whole month like this?

I spent New Year's Eve at my mom's. Dinner was awesome. I watched her Sky and the only upsetting thing was the fact that I had to go back home and face the normal television programming without any of my favorite shows.

I watched a House marathon and caught up on season 8 even without having seen most of season 7. There was also a Medium marathon with the early eps of the series which reminded me of what I liked about this show. But the highlight was Hawaii 5-0. I saw my first ep and I'd LOVE to see more of it. It was season 2, ep 1 or 2, I'm not sure. I think I'll be able to this year since an open network is advertising it. I hope it's on a time I can watch it.

To keep the boredom off, last week I started to exercise 30 minutes everyday. I can already feel the difference. Keeping this up is one of my new year resolutions.

I hope this post is readable. No spellcheck because I'm writing it on my phone. :-S

Apparently, the hard drive is messed up in a way that it is innacessible and formatting would cause more damage to it. I was recommended to take it back to the store and let them solve it. That means NO COMPUTER FOR TWO WEEKS. WHAT DO I DO??? I don't even have a DVD player to watch my shows. All I have is a TV set so old it doesn't even have remote control. I think I'll have to see if my TV will accept a dvd player if I decide to buy one so I can have something to do during my vacations coming up next week. If it doesn't then I have a problem. I can't afford a modern TV right now.

Will I survive two weeks of vacations without a computer???
