Meta about Angels Take Manhattan
Sep. 30th, 2012 07:46 pm(Guys, just ignore the parts in Portuguese, it's a bilingual post. It's the same thing, just translated.)
TRADUÇÃO DO POST EM PORTUGUÊS DEPOIS DA PARTE EM INGLÊS.
Firstly, this is my interpretation of the facts in the episode. Secondly, the theories here come from far and wide and from all over the feels people are posting everywhere over the net. I put the ones I believe together and worked from that point on according to my knowledge and my personal interpretation of the show and its characters. I am in no way trying to suggest this is the only explanation there is.
I started writing this just as I read this post at
doctorwho and it evolved from my initial thoughts, from both the thread and my word file. This is a mesh from everything my head ended up absorbing.

CAN'T COPE WITH THESE FEELS!
Sep. 29th, 2012 07:46 pmI'm a blubbering mess right now. Internet was renewed for the month which means I've got bandwidth for today, and maybe a bit of tomorrow before it runs out and I'm stuck with the patetic speed of 32kbps. I used it to watch Doctor Who. Probably means bandwidth will have been used up by the time I can watch H50... Really, I need unlimited dl internet.
Regardless of that, OMG IT WAS SO WORTH IT TO USE UP ALL MY BANDWIDTH!
( The Angels Take Manhattan )
Another thing that helped a great deal in getting over all these feels was the sneak peak for Monday's H50 ep, 3.02. Really, only Steve and Danny bromance can be of any help right now.

Thoughts on Asylum of the Daleks
Sep. 2nd, 2012 04:12 pmThis is my attempt at some coherent thoughts about yesterday's episode. There will be massive spoilers of course, so don't read on unless you really don't care if your fun is ruined.

Crossover fun
Feb. 10th, 2012 02:11 pmThis makes me a little bit excited.

Make it… geronimo!
Bleeding Cool has squirrelled out news of an upcoming crossover that might send certain minds reeling. That in May, IDW are to publish a Doctor Who/Star Trek: The Next Generation crossover series. Featuring The Doctor, Rory, Amy, Captain Picard, Worf, Data, Geordie LaForge, Deanna Troy, Will Riker and the rest. And that this art, featuring the Doctor, Rory and Amy on the bridge of the Enterprise is a cover that will be used in the series.
Doctor Who has never engaged in any such officially sanctioned crossover outside of the Doctor Who universe before. The closest was Dimensions In Time, a much derided charity telethon show which featured characters from the BBC soap opera Eastenders. Then there was Death’s Head who kinda popped in and out. Star Trek has also seen comic book crossovers with X-Men and the Legion Of Superheroes. But this is the first time that two such major competing TV sci-fi franchises have been allowed to merge in any way before.
Of course this kind of meeting has been the subject of fan fiction thousands of times. But there’s a very special something when it becomes official.
IDW is attending the Gallifrey One convention in a week’s time. I’d expect this to be announced there.
As to the details… CyBorgmen? The Klingoon? The Time Lord Continuum? Dorian of the Ferenghi?

SGA/DW FIC: THE RIFT FACTOR 1/2 [PG]
Oct. 21st, 2011 09:47 amWhat? Is Erika writing again? Am I seeing things? Is the world ending? What miracle is this?
Erm... this is totally NOT my fault. Blame Shep. And the Doctor.
This is a SGA fic with some DW thrown in, not the other way around (I think it’s readable for non-Doctor Who fans). It was complicated joining both universes because both shows are so different from each other in a number of aspects. I will not apologize for the made up science, lol. I wanted something fun and I chose that factor over having things make sense. It’s still very talky in some parts but I hope it satisfies all. Also, some characters were a bit in the background because there were just too many people in the scenes and since this is action and adventure with some technological woes, some characters obviously had more things to do than others. I did my best to amend that but it wasn’t always possible since, like I said before, this is more SGA than DW and I chose to write this from one single POV throughout the entire story.
But anyway, if you don't watch DW you should be able to understand the fic pretty well, but just in case you want to know more about the show (WHICH YOU TOTALLY SHOULD) just come here.
Now, if you with the DW crowd and don't know much about SGA, I'm sorry because most of this will be totally gibberish. So I recommend you amend this very serious blasphemy and GO WATCH IT NOW!
Title: The Rift Factor 1/2
Author:
x_erikah_x
Rating: PG
Character: Team Sheppard plus Team Tardis (Eleven, Amy and Rory) with Woolsey, Lorne, Keller and Carson on the side
Word count: ~17,000
Genre: Action/Adventure, Crossover, Gen
Season: post-season 5 for SGA and anywhere in season 6 for DW
Spoilers: None
Disclamer: Stargate, Doctor Who and characters belong to their respective owners. No infringements of rights is intended.
Summary: It looked like it’d just be a boring day in Atlantis until a strange looking telephone box just shows up orbiting the planet with three occupants that look more like intergalactic tourists than space heroes. What kinds of trouble can the Doctor put John Sheppard in?
A/N: Thanks so much
sherry57 for the beta even with all the computer woes you had to suffer in order to get this done. Next time I'll send a Rodney/Doctor combo along with the fic to help you out.
