I've been helping
re_nan with his writing and gave him a few exercises for him to practice. They'll be short drabbles and he would love to get some feedback, reviews and suggestions. He's a student of mine and he is really interested in continue writing but he just started a few days ago but already improved A LOT.
The first one was themed 'It was a day unlike any other'
This is my own take on the theme and you can go here to read his.
It was a day unlike any other
John smiled as he caressed the white sand beneath his legs. He closed his eyes and let the warm sun shine on his face, burning that sensation into his soul. The soft sound of the crashing waves and the hum of pleasure coming from next to him were the most soothing things he had experienced in a long time. The touch on his cheek was gentle and he leaned towards it.
He stared towards the horizon. “How do you do that?”
He looked at her face and saw her easy smile. “It’s my secret,” she whispered. She took his hand. “And it’ll be here waiting for you for as long as necessary.”
Her reassurance made all his doubts fade away. He turned back to look at the ocean, nodding at his decision.
