Feb. 6th, 2011 11:33 amGuess who has fast broadband again? It's not *the* fastest internet but I can watch youtube vids again!!! The only problem is that we have two computers and one modem. We need money to buy that wi-fi thingie.
About time the phone company accepted our request. We've been trying for well over a year. It's so stupid that you need to sign up for a phone landline in order to have internet. Now we don't need. Why would we want a landline? We don't use it. Cell phones are more than enough.

Dec. 31st, 2010 10:02 pmI'm sorry if I've been quiet lately. My internet is worse each day and I'll be spending a few days in my mom's which means it'll get worse before it gets better. 3G is nearly non-exitent here.
Anyway, we're just a couple of hours away from 2011 and I'd like to wish a happy new year to all my f-list. You guys rock and make my life so much happier everyday! I hope the new day that comes brings a lot of fortune, peace, love and health.

Life stuff
Oct. 4th, 2010 06:30 pmI wish I had something to post. I don't. I only need to say I don't have a lot of time for LJ lately and have been mostly using Twitter and Facebook from my phone. I don't have a lot to say really. Elections happened yesterday and I don't like politics. I'm unhappy with the way things always turn up, but at least we'll have a second round of votes for president on Oct 31. That's right, we'll decide our president on Halloween. I hope this doesn't mean that witch is going to win. I don't like her at all. Sorry for those on my f-list that likes her.
Sunday Boredom
Sep. 19th, 2010 09:54 amIt's been a week since my phone was taken =(. But I managed to find a great replacement, way better than my old one and with a GREAT plan. I'm almost glad my phone was stolen. I'm obsessed with it already. It can read PDFs so it means I can read! I've got a WHOLE CD with Star Wars books (literally hundreds of them) just waiting to be read. It also can play vids, which means I can watch full eps. All of which means less Sunday boredom when I go to my mom's.
Since I'm in the subject of boredom, I'd like to rec a fic. I don't usually go for crossovers, but since it was small, I decided to give it a try. It's AMAZING! It's Doctor Who/Stargate (SG1 and SGA) and it's brilliant. It's a collection of moments on how each character would react to seeing the TARDIS. It's fun to try to guess who it is before it's revealed. They're all spot on, including John's.

FUCK DISHONEST PEOPLE
Sep. 11th, 2010 06:10 pmI forgot my phone on the sink of the bathroom of the school. Twenty minutes later I go back to get it (it wasn't the first time) and it wasn't there anymore. I went to the reception to get it and NO ONE saw it. I tried to call it and guess what? It's turned off.
FUCK THIS PEOPLE!
It's the goddamn cheapest phone available. It took me three years to change my old one and I just finished paying for it. I can't afford another one and it's the only mean of communication I have with my family. I have no other phone. All my contacts, all my music and all my files were there.
Why do people have to be so dishonest? It's just a cheap phone, but it was mine and I can't buy another one.
The day was being so good. Now I can't barely contain my tears and I've still got 1,5 hours of work until I go home and can finally break down.
How many people are there in the school? Is it too difficult to figure out it must belong to one of the 20 people inside the building? That one person that you'll see every Saturday must have lost lost it?

August Festival 2010
Aug. 16th, 2010 06:11 pmAugust 16th is Fundation Day in my city. We have two weeks of parties and today was the last day. Since I had nothing to do (holiday) I decided to check it out. It is no different than all other Augusts in past years.... this city never changes. I ate and drank and bough an earring. XD

I am bored.
Is this how time normaly passes? Reeeeaaaly slowly. In the right order...
I played a lot of The Sims, I watched A LOT of Doctor Who, I've listened to The DW Proms, more times than... well, a sane person would do. I have nothing else to do. I haven't logged on FB for two days and I don't feel like it. I should take care of my cafe and my farm, but I'm way too bored to do anything. Does that make sense?
I'm way too addicted and obssessed with the Doctor to think about anything else. The problem is that I only have a handful of episodes and can't get more in an acceptable speed. It's frustrating!
I ate all the chocolate and snacks I had and I'm starving. Again. I don't have any food in my house which sucks and I have to go and buy more. The problem is that I don't have any money to actually do it. The ATM won't give me any more cash and I'm empty. I can only use credit card. To buy bread. I'm going to the bakery to buy bread and I'll have to use Visa to pay for it. IT SUCKS!!!
Good news is that my camera has arrived. I LOVE IT! I played with it a bit and ended up with a few nice shots. I'll just leave here the panoramic view out of my balcony, picture taken using that niiiiice panoramic setting. The stitching is a bit off. It's a bit hard getting it to merge correctly.

YAY! VACATIONS!

sga_lfws. I was made aware a few days ago and I PROMISE I will count those half dozen votes still today. I'd help immensily if some of you guys would drop by and vote. It's just three little fics, and the prompt was to write a five things fic.
Now I'm finally on vacations, starting today. And the first things I did were: (1) buy a LOT of chocolate and (2) order a new camera. Yes, I know, spending money, but I simply could not resist. It was a very good deal. On both cases.
I have plans for vacations. Plans that got me really excited and in a frenzy since Saturday (I went to bed at 3AM doing it XD). I'm making my own EFL student book (in case you don't know, EFL stands for English as a Foreign Language). I don't intend on having it published, but I indend on having it printed and use it with my private students. It's turning out SO PRETTY! Oh I wish I had samples, but I'm doing it in my own computer (which doesn't have internet access) instead of this one which is my brother's. The problem is that my bro's computer doesn't have MS Word 2007 and the layout breaks completely if I open the file in another program. I need to solve this issue because to continue writing it, I'll have to choose between Word 2007 or internet, and internet usually wins. I wonder if I could borrow it from the school I work, it's a computer school after all.
I'm also catching up on Doctor Who because, shame on me I know, I still didn't watch all of the Eccleston episodes, nor all of Tennant's. Next on the list is Aliens of London.

I've been immersed in work and in that World Cup frenzy. I've got my bets in Germany, BTW. I had my weep when we got kicked back home, but at least it wasn't a 4 x 0.
