You Know You are Brazilian When...

x_erikah_xI saw this in an English language schoolbook and laughed way too much not to share.
YOU KNOW YOU ARE BRAZILIAN WHEN:
- you like Guarana better than Coke
- if someone tells you to be at a certain place at 1PM, you won't show up until 2:30 or 3PM
- your entire family goes to grandma's house on Sundays for a big family get together, even though you guys see each other everyday
- you can name at least 30 soap operas and 1000 actors/actresses
- lunch means: rice, beans, steak and tomato salad
- you are the loudest person in the room
- you got a Brazilian flag hanging from your car's rearview mirror, but only every four years during the World Cup.
- you travel and instead of taking a suitcase with all your stuff, you take presents for the entire family, the dog and the neighbors
- you clean your house until it's spotless when you have people coming over
- you love your mother as much as you love soccer (futebol)
- you take soccer too seriously
- you don't know anything about baseball
- you know the difference between Samba, Pagode and Forró
- you eat rice and beans at least 7 days a week
- your breakfast consists of milk and coffee and bread with butter
- everyone thinks you're everything but Brazilian
- you go to a bar and ask for "caipirinha"
- you are so used to corruption that nothing surprises you anymore
- you wear slippers all the time and everywhere
- you take hundreds pictures everywhere you go and put them all on the internet for everyone to see
- you think that if the party is over before 5AM it's not a party!
- you dress up even to go to the grocery store
- you can spend an entire day at the beach
- you are too friendly
- you kiss in public
- you are always smiling
- when you meet someone, for the first time or not, you kiss their cheeks instead of shaking hands
- you think you can speak Spanish. You pronounce Portuguese words with Argentinian accent and believe Spaniards will understand you
Most of these are true for myself and pretty much everyone I know lol.
