Enemy at the Gate

I just saw it. It left me kinda divided. I trully loved it. It was a really great episode, but I saw mixed reviews about it being predictable. But let's face it, this is SciFi. It's Stargate and after 13 years or something, it's always a little predictable. It doesn't stop me from loving it.
I hate the fact that it's the last, and that it took them so damn long to write an episode like this. What happens in this episode could change everything. Or nothing at all. It's up for the movie to tell us.
But it was great! Shep was absolutely awesome! The team was great in the small parts they had. A lot of people showed up, but I won't tell who. The episode made me squee really loud in several parts (I don't care how predictable it is, I'm easily pleased xD!). I can't wait to see how they are going to follow it through in the movies. The episode has an ending, but leaves things open for future possibilities. Now I can perfectly understand Mallozzi's frustration with the cancellation. He must have been so excited to write a sixth season.
I just wish there would be a next season. It makes me so sad. That ending scene looks awesome and almost made me teary. But I see lots of fanfic coming. Lots and lots of it.

If you didn't see the episode, you have no business here. Please go away and only come back after watching, because this will totally and completely ruin your fun. I'm warning you. DO. NOT. READ.
Okay, now on with the important stuff.
*grins* LOVED IT! I loved how they made things a whole lot worse by having a hive with ZPMs. I kept thinking that there would be a problem with integrating the technology, but it actually worked and made the Hive a fierce enemy.
Of course there was the part of Atlantis simply getting two ZPMs delivered promptly after five years suffering to acquire one. It was waaaay too easy. Maybe they should have written at least one full episode where they have to get the ZPMs and face some wraith, do some shooting, exploding and problem solving. And then they could get rid of the useless junk like BS and Identity and those other things they call episodes.
I really did not see the part when Ronon dies coming. But then it was kind of, how are they going to bring him back? I just went duh when the wraith showed up. Why didn't I think of that? xD But I loved the team moment when it happened. The angst! I just wish there were more. I'm so greedy!
One thing that I LOVED was Pilot!Shep!!! And Shep volunteering for another suicide mission. Who didn't predict the part of the team hearing him? xD. He always looks so good inside a fighter. Except for that pilot uniform. That was stupid. Hated that one.
Loved Sam in it, and Woolsey, and Caldwel, and Elis, and Davis, and I specially adored the Dom S. Davis mention. And that they made his passing the same way. *sniff* Also, Sam is getting a ship! And a ship with an AWESOME name. I truly hope they don't blow it up.
Special mention of Amelia Banks. Did she look good in that final scene!!! OMG! I SO hoped they would get together! What a lucky girl she is!!! Lucky indeed.
Becket flew the city, didn't complain, didn't blow up anything, pretty much saved the planet, and landed Atlantis in San Francisco!!!
Lorne was in it and carried Ronon out of the Hive. He is almost part of the elite team. It makes me happy.
I wonder what's going to happen now? How long before they go back to Pegasus? What's going to happen while they're on Earth? They'll just stay cloaked? How much of the ZPMs they still have? Can they use that wormhole thing again to jump back? Will they stay cloaked the whole time? What kind of adventures will they get Ronon and Teyla through while they are In San Francisco? So many fic possibilities. And what about the people that saw a giant ball of fire falling from the sky? And a nuclear explosion that close to orbit must have been seen by lots of people, right? I don't really know, but I think something like that would be visible. At least by satellites. Earth does have tons of those in orbit. Maybe they even knocked some of them out with the EMP. And caused communications havoc all over the planet. That would be cool. Can you imagine the consequences? Hmmm, yes, lots of fanfic could be coming from this ep. *fights plot bunnies*
The bad part is that it's over now. No more SGA, except for the movies. *sniff*
