Guess who watched Broken Ties live? And the US showing of The Stolen Earth from DW?
Well, not much Shep whump. Very whumpy for Ronon though. I kept wishing they could torture Shep instead. xD Alas, no such luck. Too bad it wasn't the Shep whumpers writing this episode.
I'm still a bit uncomfortable with the Teyla stuff, but at least they are showing it now. Kanaan and the baby are stuck in Atlantis while mommy goes hunting wraith across the galaxy. I knew that would happen if they didn't kill Kanaan. I wonder how long the guy is going to last before he's offed. But she does seem happy. Or at least accomplished.
Loving Woosley. Seriously. Robert Picardo is GREAT! Love how everyone left at the end of the briefing and he got stuck inside. Heh! And how Teyla simply left the baby crying with him to run after Shep and rescue Ronon. And how he didn't know where the mess was. And how he changed into a suit at the end.
Not enough Shep for my taste. Too much Ronon. I like Ronon, but the show is more about the team and there wasn't enough. And damn you Ronon for cutting the wraith's hand before it could feed on Shep! Couldn't you wait until after the torture?
Like Rodney pacing and blabbing at the cell. And there was one tiny bit of Rodney!Gun!Porn! And Rodney and Ronon together. They SO need more scenes together. I loved Rodney talking with him while he was sleeping. Heeee! It's canon. Rodney talks to his friends when they are sick in the infirmary!
And, of course, they went on the quick solution. I'm not betting on TPTB making too much of all this in next episodes... Even though Ronon was tortured by the wraith and transformed into a worshiper, got addicted to the enzyme again and went through all that withdrawal. It happened too fast in the lab. All of a sudden they were all free and fighting and then they were gone. WTF? Typical Stargate. And they blew up another wraith lab. And how predictable was that Tyre was going to stay behind and sacrifice himself?
But it does make sense how the wraith make people worship them. When they were about to start on Ronon, I shouted: "OMG! I get it!" I'm slow, heh. It's all about the enzyme clouding their brain. You know, I think that's a cheap trick. They simply remove the enzyme and the influence is all gone? WTF? Just like that? What about the endless sections of torture and continuous feeding? No effect whatsoever? Even though they broke Ronon and made him cry? I was loving the dark path the show was taking. Really loving. But I just wish the effects would last for more than half an episode. How long has it been? A week? Two? And it's all normal? Of course I can't wish such a fanfic approach from the writers, can I? A nice long recovery in the good hurt/comfort genre. YOU KNOW IT'S ABOUT THE COMFORT, DON'T YOU TPTB?
Anyway, if you are a Ronon whumper it was an awesome episode, but I'm not. Shep was nice in his bits, though. With Teyla, with Woosley, with Rodney and with Ronon. And we got Shep on his knees! Can have enough of that. And off he goes to his torture section like it's no big deal. Antagonizing the wraith like Shep loves to do when doesn't want to think about what's to come. Loved his bits with Ronon in withdrawal. *huggles Shep*
I'll have a better idea of my thoughts exactly in the morning. All this is probably going to change.
The promo for the next episode was pretty strange. I have no idea what the episode is about. I have to watch it again to have a better look at those things, but I'm not going to. I'm unspoiled for this season and I'm liking it.
BTW, SciFi is really stupid at the promos. They give so much away. Like in the Doctor Who promo, they gave away the final scene of The Stole Earth, and for next week they totally broke the WTF that hangs at the end of the episode by showing the Doctor in the next. :S
