After a crappy couple of weeks I finally had a good day. An excellent day.
So happy!!!

I had a great patient today. She's a nice lady and I was able to connect to her and she liked me. We talked a lot and that's excellent. A good connection and a nice relationship with a patient is the most important thing to make sure not only that they'll be back, but that they'll bring more. So I think I had a very good start. That's translated in the form of advanced payment. She payed for over a half of the treatment in advance and it is 2/3 of the rent. Woohoo!!!
Today I also had that job interview. It went great!!! I did a written test, an essay and a spoken test. Scored 81 in English proficiency which makes me qualified to teach all classes. The test was easy. Speaking with the teacher too and I wasn't nervous. After that, she went in to talk with the coordinator of the school and I waited outside. The coordinator called me in and we talked a little more, this time in Portuguese, because he doesn't speak english. Go figure... He asked if I had any problem teaching kids, teens or adults and I said I had no problem at all. I'm a dentist. If I can handle kids in my chair, I think I can handle a class. He asked if I had schedule issues. Again being a dentist and my own boss I can deal with any schedule, the only problem being that the school is in another city and I need to take the bus, so better if classes are not spread out.
From that he went strait into telling which classes are available, their days and the ages. At that point I knew I had the job, but tried to contain my squee in front of the man. The classes are not final, because he needs the stamp from his boss, the owner of the school, but it looks like I'll take Teen A (11-14 years old in the evenings), Skillplus 2 (teens and adults at night) and Skillplus 3 (adults from 20 to 35 at night) all at Thursday and Tuesday, each class lasts 1h15min, one after another. He went on talking about money and he'll call before Friday to confirm. My first staff meeting will be Friday and he already gave me the books of the classes I'll probably have to study. It's really easy and all basic stuff.
OMG! I'm really so excited!!! I studied there, so I'm familiar with the place, even after lots of changes, and I'm very familiar with the books and their work system. I loved that school and I think I'll love teaching there.
