The unfairness of Blu-Ray
Aug. 30th, 2012 01:26 pmWhy do we need to have a Blu-Ray player in order to watch juicy extras? What if we don't have it? Do we have to stand just having a DVD movie? What happened to those 2-DVD releases? Don't they exist anymore?

The most important game in the history of Corinthians has ended. After 102 years, finally, Corithians fans can say the curse is broken with the 2 BEAUTIFUL goals scored by Emerson, our national hero, winner, record-breaker and a champion in every team he goes to.
Next year: Chelsea in Japan.
Now we can say we have every title it's possible for a South American team to have.

FIC WRITING PROGRESS
Jun. 21st, 2012 05:42 pmThe fic, now entitled 'An Arm's Length', is making slow progress. I wasn't able to make much progress, but we are already 7,727 words into it, and still just beginning. The advantage of co-writing is that making progress is a bit easier than when you are writing alone.

Vector Art Prints

I'm quite excited with the art I made this last week. I already have plans for more and I may be addicted to it. You all know I like making art, and you all know I love fandom and nobody needs to be a genius to figure out I need money, so put all of them together and tahdah!
Even if I just sell one, I'll be jumping and running in circles with happiness and I think it'll be worth it. Making vector art is time consuming and there is a cost there to print and mail them, but they are not expensive and that's the beauty of it. It's easy to afford them.
Now, I know lots of you are facing problems on your own, it's a time of crisis and recession after all, so I have them in various sizes and prices. I will ship everywhere and the fee for standard shipping is included, but if you want a priority shipping, it'll be just a tinsy bit more. No insurance is included for the mail because they cost more than the print itself. Also, I'll be just sending the print. That means the paper with the art on it. I won't include frames or mat.

Damn Plot Bunny
Jun. 6th, 2012 06:03 pmI had a plot bunny last night but I can't write it because I'm already commited to a few things. So, naturally I'll post it here in the hope someone will addopt it. Should be short.
Here it is: The SGA team has a movie night and watch Avengers. Shep and Rodney bicker because Rodney likes Iron Man and Shep likes Captain America. Ronon and Teyla just stare in confusion thinking Earthlings are weird. After the movie Ronon ends up liking the Hulk and Teyla the Black Widow.
Anyone? Please? I'd love you forever.

It's probably early to tell but I am working on a SGA fic. It's a joint effort based on a idea for a kind of AU except not, except yes. We've been outlining it for a couple of months now and still haven't finished. We have the rough plot, about half the scenes that I'll want to write and I barely started writing the first one (even though we still don't have everything - I just think better when I'm actually writing it, it's my proccess). I'd put the LJ name of the person, except I don't remember what it is because we only talk on Facebook. Ooops.
No idea when it'll be finished, if ever, because we both have lives and don't have the time needed to focus on it for too long every week.
Easy to assume, it's extremely whumpy. I'm taking advantage of the fact that my co-writer is a doctor in training. Needless to say, the medical part, the scenes in the ER, the OR and the recovery parts are almost totally fleshed out.
Good, I need sleep! We had a pajamas party in the school on Friday slept less than four hours from Fri to Sat. But it was fun!

BEWARE! Long fangirly ramble ahead. It will probably not make sense. And I will probably not even use commas.
I watched it for the third time yesterday and it was just as awesome. My mom and brother came too and they loved it! Mom came back home saying how awesome RDJ is and that he is hilarious, how HOT Chris Evans has become since the first time we saw him on screen on Cellular, that the Cap really shows his talent in playing a variety of characters, that Mark Ruffalo is the best Hulk so far, that he is to cute, that Thor looks like Brad Pitt except better, and that the 'arrow shooting guy' is really cool and that DC needs to learn how to make movies because she wants a Justice League film to top Avengers and I said 'no way that's gonna happen, mom'. We went back discussing why DC movies usually fail at box office and Marvel ones break it. Now she wants to watch Thor and Captain America.
Isn't it awesome to come from a family of geeks? Sure, mom isn't as fangirly as I am (that is probably impossible), but she does like the prettiness. Her obsession is Johnny Depp and she has seen every single movie he has ever made lots of times and owns most of them.
All in all, it was a pretty good Mother's Day, even though she actually had to pay for my brother's ticket, lol. And she also had to cook for us instead of the other way arround. And she got no presents because we are all totally broke. But we were happy and had fun. That's what matters.
Oh, and my sister's new boyfy invited us to go watch a movie on IMAX one of these days. Exciting!
