Jun. 12th, 2007 12:32 pmOkay. Update on the ongoing investigation and gang hunt.
My mom went to the police station to add more information to the police report required for us to receive the insurance money from the car. The Chief of Police talked to her and now is interested on what she had to say. Now. When she gave all that information back on the first time we were robbed they didn't even look at it. When innocent civilians are targeted, they don't investigate. I guess cops have to be killed to have them acting. She had told them weeks before to the guy responsible for the investigation about very likely suspect. I mean very, very likely, and a very know person on our neighborhood, that coincidentally used to work and live on another house that was robbed (the house next door to ours), and after the woman was fired she showed up again looking inside our house from the outside on the same day that our house was invaded. Not to mention that her family is know for dealing with drugs (it's not a secret , the people are too afraid to go out and tell the authorities). Now they are interested in the information because apparently she was in the funeral of the criminals that were killed. What a surprise.
About eight guys of the gang were captured and the rest is still on the run. Of course they are saying they are innocents. My mother said the the police station was full of reporters and was afraid that they could have captured her image on camera.
Also, that house she was looking at was sold. Lucky us. Now she has to look for another one. And it looks like there is someone interested in living on our current home and look after the property for no cost at all. It's a fair deal. He gets a home and we get a security guard on our property. The guy is a police officer and I think it might work.
I wish I could watch the news on TV but I still don't have one, so I'll have to relay on the internet and the hot line.
